You're grounded! But it's not a bad thing

Grounding is the practice of connecting with the Earth's natural energy by walking barefoot on grass, sand, soil or other natural surfaces. By touching water or by touching soil like in gardening, you can use these as grounding tools when you do not have access to the earth. Touching something that is grounded to earth(like a tree) has the same effect. Grounding has an enormously healing effect on our bodies.
That is because the human body naturally absorbs electricity from the earth, as the earth’s surface is abundant in free electrons. These molecules produce changes in our bodies that support our health and allows us to recharge.
The trouble is that these days, most people have little direct contact with the earth. As a result, our bodies build up positive static electric charges that cannot be released unless we connect to the ground. Grounding neutralizes positive charges by absorbing negative electrons to balance you out and helps neutralize free radicals (which damage the body) with their antioxidant properties.
What are the benefits of grounding? To name a few…
· It reduces inflammation and pain
· It improves sleep
· It improves blood flow and circulation, while lowering blood pressure
· It improves sleep and mood
· It boosts your energy levels
· It improves libido
· It can help restore thyroid function
· It can normalize cortisol rhythms
· It helps to balance out your nervous system
· It reduces stress, anxiety and depression, while improving immune function
· It promotes greater inner strength and resilience in your everyday life
· It creates an overall sense of well-being and balance
To add to all of that, a 2020 study stated that grounding can counteract cardiovascular, respiratory, neurodegenerative, and auto-immune conditions, and cancer[1]!
My point with all of this is that we all need to get back to basics and start healing! We should all be grounding for at least 20 to 30 minutes every day to help stabilize. You should feel the effects within just a few days.
